On Sundays at 2 p.m. visitors can participate in what we refer to as a slough (sloo) slog; a chance to walk through a cypress dome, one of the many unique ecosystems in the park. A slough slog is free and waivers of entrance are possible with advanced notice. I’m inviting Consortium alumni to join me for this great event.

Please note that there are limited slots available for this trip, with up to 15 people (more with advanced notice), ages 12 and older, able to participate. Accordingly, the earlier you sign up the better, and, regardless, please sign up by Wednesday, March 9th. Notice will be sent to the group once all slots have been filled.

On Sunday, March 27th we will meet at the Ernest Coe Visitor Center parking lot (located at 40001 State Road 9336, approximately 10 miles southwest of Florida City) and caravan to the slough slog site.

Click  Here  to RSVP.  A form must be completed for each attendee.

If anyone has questions please email me at gordonwilliam2012@gmail.com or call 646-732-2034.

More information on the slough slog can be found at: http://www.nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/sloughslog.htm

I look forward to seeing my Consortium family there!
