We are always looking for enthusiastic and engaged alumni to help us build a stronger alumni community—and to help our current students succeed. Here are some of the ways to get involved:

Special Interest & Regional Groups

The Consortium Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide students and alumni, alike, an inherent community to discuss, read and learn more about specific industries. Additionally, our network can stay in touch with others in their geographical area by joining a Regional Group.

The Consortium’s blog keeps you informed on key topics shaping equity and access in the workplace. You’ll also find updates on business, innovation, the Consortium community, and more.

Support The Consortium

Your Annual Fund gifts are a major funding source for our fellowships, and we thank you for your ongoing support. Help us expand access and increase representation in business education and leadership.

Volunteer

Frequently, alumni reach out to The Consortium to “pay forward” their experiences, namely through volunteerism. Frankly, we would not be able to deliver all of the world-class services and events without assistance. There are a few ways in which you can get involved.

Alumni Business Directory

One way we strive to support our alumni who are also small business owners and entrepreneurs is through our Alumni Business Directory. By prominently featuring their businesses, the directory boosts visibility, fosters direct engagement, and encourages our community to “shop local” within the alumni family.

How can I connect with other alumni in my area?

Join our networking and engagement platform, Hello Fellow. It takes only a few minutes to create a profile and begin searching the network for fellow alumni.

I’m between roles and would like to connect with Consortium corporate partners. How can I go about that?

We encourage you to visit the career sites of our partners to identify roles that interest you. After applying, contact our Alumni Relations team to inform us of the position’s title. We will notify the partner of your action, and when deemed permissible, will make an introduction. Additionally, check the Hello Fellow career center for experienced-level job opportunities.

How can I feature my business among other alumni?

We know there are many entrepreneurs within our ranks. Bi-annually, we create and publish an Alumni Business Directory for alumni to showcase their goods and services within the CGSM community. If you have an independently owned and operated company you want included in the directory, submit your business profile here.

I would like to tap into the vast Consortium alumni network for available roles within my company. May I post open opportunities in your career center?

Access to alumni for job opportunities requires an annual partnership agreement between The Consortium and your company. Our Development team is available to discuss the details and may be reached at development@cgsm.org.

What opportunities exist for me to give back to The Consortium?

We are thrilled when alumni express an interest in sharing the time, resources, and life experiences with the MBA classes after them. There are various opportunities which include:

Advocacy. Assist The Consortium with an introduction to leaders within your organization to discuss the benefits of partnership. Contact our Development team at development@cgsm.org to schedule a meeting.
Volunteerism. Give of your time and talents as a panelist in a workshop or virtual seminar, mentor an MBA fellow, or join an alumni committee to elevate post MBA experiences. Our Alumni Relations team can elaborate about these opportunities and others. Contact a team member at alumnirelations@cgsm.org.
Stewardship. Donate a gift to The Consortium. Your financial support ensures that the benefits you received as student will continue for future MBA fellows and our mission to increase the numbers of underrepresented groups in business schools and corporate America prevails for many years to come.
